Your privacy matters to us. This Policy explains exactly how CA Team handles your data and your clients' data.

1. Introduction

CA Team ('we', 'our', 'us') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our practice management software at cateam.in and app.cateam.in. By using our Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: firm name, your name, email address, phone number, and billing details during registration. We also collect data you enter into the Service, including client records, task details, compliance deadlines, and documents. Additionally, we automatically collect usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions performed within the platform.

3. Client Data You Upload

As a CA firm, you may upload client information including names, PAN numbers, GST numbers, financial records, and documents. This data is stored securely on our servers and is used solely to provide the Service to you. We do not access, analyse, or share your client data except as required to operate the Service or as mandated by law.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails such as invoices, password resets, and deadline reminders; respond to support requests; improve the platform through aggregate usage analysis; and comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and encryption at rest for sensitive information. Access to your data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We conduct regular security audits and backups to protect against data loss.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days, during which you can export it. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted from our systems. Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with: trusted third-party service providers (payment processors, cloud infrastructure, email delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements; law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law; and successor entities in the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyse platform usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertisements.

9. Third-Party Integrations

CA Team may integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways. When you interact with these services, their own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use through our platform.
